Year 1
(Ending 30 June 2023)
Complete Incorporation Process
Hold Inaugural General Meeting and election of Office Bearers
Obtain Australian Business Number (ABN)
Obtain Tax File Number (TFN)
Apply to ACNC/ATO for charity and not-for-profit status and relevant tax concessions to benefit CAERH Inc and donors
Apply to NSW Dept of Fair Trading for Licence to Collect Monies for Charitable Purposes
Set up Bank Accounts
Set up PO Box
Sign Heads of Agreement with Southern NSW Local Health District
Seek to increase membership and skillset of CAERH Inc. by interested community members.
Establish teams to contact and address other community organisations to gain their help and support in fund raising activities.
Identify clubs and community organisations, local, state and federal government funding sources and make application for any relevant funding which may be available.
Learn from other organisations who have achieved a similar goal to ours
Discuss with local Architects/ Draftspersons the cost and process of designing the building.
Year 2 and Year 3
(Ending 30 June 2025)
Major Fund Raising Activities
Contract the building design and gain Council Approval for same
Continue to seek the support of other community organisations.
Approach businesses and key players in the community to seek donations of monies, gifts for raffles or auction
Consider and conduct fund raising activities including but not limited to:
Raffles: Electric Car
Electric Bikes
Open Gardens
Social events
Trivia nights
Community Auction Fair
“Buy a Brick” Activities
Year 4
(Ending 30 June 2026)
Have raised sufficient funds to complete the construction.
Contract Project Manager/Builder to commence construction.
Continue fundraising activities to furnish and fit out rooms and facilities.
Ensure that major donors to our project are appropriately recognised and acknowledged.
On completion, hand over the building to NSW Southern Area Regional Health.
CAERH will finally wind-up its operation, donating any remaining monies in accordance with its Incorporation Constitution.
